The video is only a bit over 12 minutes long, and clearly understandable at 1.5 speed.
But it is worth repeated listening, pondering, and planning.

BRICS is an acronym that originally stood for Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa as a trade bloc with one of its main goals being reduced dependence on the U.S. Dollar and Western financial systems. But the partnership grew to include Iran as a key member, as well as Cuba (in defiance of the U.S. ‘Monroe Doctrine’).

As for Venezuela, former President Nicolás Maduro has publicly stated Venezuela’s intention to become a member, and China has explicitly welcomed this bid, though Brazil has so far blocked full accession.
